Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and valued. My approach to counseling is grounded in genuine connection, transparency, and collaboration.
Life can be complicated, and sometimes the challenges we experience leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from ourselves and others. Seeking counseling can be a difficult first step, but it can also create opportunities for growth, healing, and meaningful change.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring experience working with individuals and families across a variety of healthcare and behavioral health settings. My professional background has shaped my belief that effective counseling begins with genuine connection, trust, and an understanding that no two people experience life in the same way.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, grounded in honesty, transparency, and authenticity. While counseling should be a place where you feel safe, heard, and respected, meaningful growth sometimes requires stepping outside of your comfort zone. Together, we can explore difficult emotions, recognize patterns, and challenge thoughts or behaviors with curiosity, respect, and without judgment.
I incorporate evidence-based, person-centered therapeutic approaches tailored to you. An important part of our work is developing practical coping skills, building insight and strengthening your confidence to navigate life's challenges. My goal is not only to support you through current difficulties but also to help you build skills and confidence that extend beyond our time together.
Therapy is a partnership built on trust, openness, and a shared commitment to growth.
My experience in social work and behavioral health spans more than 20 years, including clinical practice, healthcare, education, and leadership. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families across outpatient, inpatient, and integrated healthcare settings. My clinical experience includes individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health assessments. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for the connection between mental health, physical health, relationships, and the environments in which we live.
In addition to direct clinical care, I have held leadership roles focused on developing behavioral health programs, supporting clinicians, and improving access to quality care. Because education is important to me, I have also taught bachelor's and master's level social work classes.
I hold a Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oklahoma and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Social Work at the University of Kentucky.
These experiences continue to shape my approach to counseling and reinforce my belief in compassionate, ethical, individualized care.
